World of Warcraft Review
By: Stabbitha Posted on June 10th, 2008 under PCWriting about World of Warcraft and having a word limit is quite the daunting task. But before I continue, I feel a disclaimer is in order. If you don’t mind no longer having an out of game personal life then WoW may be something you want to check out. You should at least leave a note to friends and family to let them know you’re still kicking. If this sounds like something you’re willing to face, if leet loot and epic mounts sound intriguing, then read on.
World of Warcraft is not new to the gaming scene by any stretch of the imagination. It’s what’s called an MMORPG (massive multiplayer online roll playing game). The story line is an impressive feat on its own and has at least fourteen years worth of creative input from the Blizzard Entertainment team, the creators of World of Warcraft. WoW was released in November of 2004 after three years of anticipation.
The interface is a simple one, yet highly customizable for those of us who prefer a bit more variety to the look of our games. The graphics are clean and crisp, complete with weather changes and real time events such as sunrise and sunset along with holidays. The Darkmoon Faire even comes to town occasionally.
The game is designed to be played on all types of systems from low to high end and from dial-up to broadband connection. This allows greater accessibility to a wide variety of gamers. That’s not to say that using a lower end system will give you the true feel of Azeroth, the world where WoW comes to life. Of course, a higher end system and graphics card would lend to a richer gaming experience.
The game starts with you as a level 1 character of your chosen race and faction. Once you choose your faction, Horde or Alliance, you can then choose one of 10 races, five from either side. You then complete quests given to you in order to gain experience, gear and weapons.
Not only are these quests for the individual, but the group as well. You will be faced with quests that cannot be completed by you alone. This is where the other 10,000,000 subscribers to WoW come into play. Team up with other people to complete the harder quests for the better rewards.
Which brings me to the two most important facts about World of Warcraft. One of the reasons Blizzard has been so successful is that they provide the player with the ability to interact with other players from all over the world. And secondly, a player must always remember, no matter how geared you are, there is always a better piece of gear with your name on it, if you have the guts to go get it.
The shear scope of gameplay involved provides a 24/7, 365 day perpetual mission to become the most badass toon on the block. If battling it out against the opposing faction is your cup of tea then I suggest joining a player vs. player server and doing it up right.
But if all that wasn’t enough good news about this epic game, Blizzard, added The Burning Crusade, and expansion released last year with all new game content and worlds to explore. And just when hard core WoW addicts thought that might be the end, Blizzard has announced a new expansion to hit stores. The Wrath of the Lich King, also includs new lands and content should be released later in 2008 to early 2009.

WoW is the best gsme ive seen and it might stay as most popular game fo atleast a few decades!
This game is great and also very popular, I thing everybody knows it.
It offers a lot of possibilities, for example you can choose between 2 factions (which is also an important desicion), you have many races… Those things make the game look really cool…
If you haven’t played WoW yet, I think you should at least try it.
